How to Enrol in Ripples@Work
Learning Venture Contests
Step 1
Gain R@W Pedagogy Certificate
- Open Account: Register for a Free Forever Explorer account on the R@W website.
- Undergo Training: Complete the R@W training (1.5 hours weekly for 4 weeks, cost: $240). Note: Training is free for Early Adopters as per agreements with R@W.
Step 2
Become a Team Leader
- Join a Venture Hub: Become a member of an existing Venture Hub.
- Achieve Leader Status: Request promotion to an administrator role by contacting: [email protected] If no suitable Venture Hub exists, one will be created for you.
Step 3
Create Learning Teams
- Purchase Team Space: Secure team placement for a semester ($80 per team) – free for Early Adopters.
- Form Teams: Follow the provided instructions to create your team.
- Invite Students: Invite students to join and promote one to a moderator role within the team.

As a holder of this account:
- You gain access to RippleVerse, the exclusive R@W internal social media network. From here, you can proceed with Pedagogy training to lead contesting teams, join a contesting team, become a CrewPal (collaborating with contesting teams), or a Hubster (assessing and voting on contesting teams).
- Becoming a hubster grants you unlimited access to Venture Hubs. As a hubster, you participate in contests by commenting, providing feedback, and voting for contestants.
- By immersing yourself in the contests and engaging directly with their developmental processes, you expand both your academic and practical knowledge while developing new skills.
- You support your favourite teams in the contests, fostering a culture of participation and benefiting from continuous learning opportunities.

R@W Pedagogy training includes:
- Completion of four modules over four weeks, with weekly asynchronous sessions on the Canva platform (one module per week).
- Two hours of engagement per week in R@W Pedagogy Training.
- Equipping participants with innovative R@W pedagogical approaches for everyday teaching, and preparing you to lead learning teams in the R@W venture contests.
- Qualification: A R@W Pedagogy Practitioner and A Venture Team Leader.
- Completing the R@W Pedagogy training is required only once.

By participating in the Venture contests, students gain knowledge and skills in:
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with group and community members, social media, and professionals in specific disciplines.
- Experiencing themselves in professional roles firsthand.
- Acquiring skills in multimodal communication.
- Strategic data observation and utilization.
- Exploring and cultivating their strengths.
- Strategically developing individual agency.
- Creating a digital folio.
- Earning a certificate of participation upon contest startup venture completion.
