R@W Pedagogy Training

Ripples@Work (R@W) is a new learning model developed to meet the demands of the knowledge economy.
Rather than merely patching existing gaps in traditional learning with technological ‘band-aids,’
it establishes a new ecosystem of learning.
The startup venture logic forms the foundation of this R@W learning ecosystem.
To ensure a smooth and engaging flow in our contests, we offer the R@W Pedagogy training.
Upon completion, participants are awarded the R@W Pedagogy Certificate B, which qualifies them to create
and lead competing teams through the R@W startup venture contests.
Enrollment in the R@W Pedagogy training is open to teachers, homeschool parents, or teacher-students.
The R@W Pedagogy Certificate B covers the following topics.
Please note that the Early Adopters programs are tailored in accordance with established agreements between schools
or other learning provider groups and R@W administration:

In this dynamic module, participants will delve into the essence of Multimodality and Interdisciplinarity, critical components in today’s digital learning and innovation landscape. This session offers a unique blend of asynchronous engagement and collaborative exploration, using the Canva whiteboard as a central hub for creativity and interaction.

Module Format:
Participants are encouraged to embark on a week-long asynchronous journey, featuring:
Curated Video Content: Engage with specially prepared videos that unpack the concepts of Remix, Bricolage, and Strategic Tinkering within the context of modern pedagogy.
Interactive Exercises: Apply what you’ve learned through hands-on exercises designed to reinforce key concepts and stimulate critical thinking.
Discussion Forums: Participate in vibrant discussions with fellow participants, sharing insights, challenges, and breakthroughs, fostering a community of practice.
Support Groups: Teachers are encouraged to form or join support groups, fostering a collaborative learning environment where they can offer and receive guidance and encouragement. These groups aim to provide sustained support not only throughout this training but also during their students’ R@W competitions and the practical classroom implementation of the model.

Key Concepts:
Fieldwork: Participants will explore the generation of data through active engagement with the natural, social, and technological dimensions of their environments, mirroring the ‘field’ aspect of interdisciplinary studies.
Creative Studio: The ‘studio’ component involves setting up and managing a ‘Detectives’ Creative Studio’, which participants will conduct in both physical spaces (designated classroom areas) and digital platforms (Canva or Figma), emphasizing collaborative creativity and design thinking.
Metacognitive Laboratory: In the ‘laboratory’ phase, the focus shifts to metacognitive activities through cinematic writing. Participants will create a self-reflective journal using Canva, fostering deep introspection and personal growth through the lens of cinematic storytelling.

This module is designed to empower educators to navigate the complexities and opportunities of the digital age with confidence and creativity. By the end of this session, participants will have a richer understanding of how to integrate diverse modalities and disciplines into their teaching and learning practices, leveraging the power of digital tools to enhance their pedagogical strategies.
